A chance to see the work of local artist Jo Dunn.
The Three Hulats, Harrogate Road, LS7
Being local, I am honoured to have my paintings on show at The Three Hulats for the next two weeks as part of the Chapel Allerton Art Trail 2014, organised by Inkwell and Chapel Allerton Arts Festival. My pictures are in the darts room, so be careful. Lots of local artists are getting exposure during festival week. Download a map here.
The Offical Opening of the event happens on Tuesday 26th August, 6-9pm. Follow the art trail along the 18 locations on Harrogate Road from Inkwell to Further North Bar (about half a mile). Everyone is welcome.
There’s an Art Trail Artists’ Talk on Thursday 28th August, 6-8pm at Inkwell – I am taking part.
The Reality of Small Differences exhibition of textile art by disabled artists (including people with mental health problems) is also on as part of the Art Trail, at Inkwell and Union 105. This exhibition came about as a response to the fact that Grayson Perry’s popular tapestry series is being shown in Leeds in a venue that’s inaccessible to many disabled people. You can see the exhibition during the opening of the art trail during the evening of 26th Aug, then 10-4 Tues – Sat until Sat 4th Oct.
At Union 105 (105 Chapeltown Road LS7 3HY) the exhibition is open Tues 26th – Thurs 28th Aug 12-6pm, then by appointment the following week until Weds 3rd Sept.
